After 20 years as an electrician, Keith Lamming decided to take his experience and passion for construction to the next level. Seeing a demand for high-quality custom home building in the Kansas City market, he founded Top Shelf Home Builders in 2021, with a mission to provide meticulous craftsmanship and a seamless design-build experience.
Establishing Our Reputation
By 2022, Top Shelf Home Builders had completed its first full-scale custom homes and remodels, gaining recognition for attention to detail, innovative designs, and customer-first service. As demand grew, we expanded our team of expert craftsmen, project managers, and designers to take on even more custom home projects.

With a growing client base in Metro Kansas City and Johnson County, 2023 was the year we expanded our services to include whole home remodels, basement finishing, home additions, and kitchen remodeling. We also invested in cutting-edge project management tools to streamline the design-build process and improve client communication.

Keith Lamming
With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Keith’s journey started as an electrician before transitioning into custom home building. His deep industry knowledge, hands-on leadership, and eye for detail ensure that every project meets Top Shelf’s high standards. Keith is passionate about delivering exceptional homes and providing a seamless client experience. When he's not overseeing projects, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying up-to-date with the latest in construction innovation.
Lindsey Lamming
Lindsey plays a key role in helping clients bring their dream homes to life. As a licensed realtor and interior design expert, she guides homeowners through selecting the perfect finishes, layouts, and land for their custom builds. Lindsey has a keen eye for detail and a passion for functional yet stylish home designs. She works closely with clients to ensure their homes reflect both beauty and practicality, making the process enjoyable and stress-free. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, home design inspiration, and caring for animals.
Andy Sterrett
Andy has been passionate about woodworking and carpentry since he was six years old, learning from his grandfather’s workshop. His love for craftsmanship led him to pursue a career in custom home building, where he specializes in fine details, cabinetry, and structural integrity. Andy takes great pride in building homes that stand the test of time, ensuring every cut, joint, and finish is executed with precision. Outside of work, Andy enjoys automotive restoration and hands-on projects that challenge his skills.
Kyle Cantrill
Kyle grew up in the construction industry, inspired by his father’s long career. He brings years of experience in remodeling, new builds, and home additions, making him a valuable part of the team. Kyle is known for his fairness, honesty, and meticulous craftsmanship, ensuring that every client receives top-quality results. His expertise includes custom layouts, innovative designs, and seamless remodeling solutions. When he's not on the job site, Kyle enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, two kids, and their pets.
Nate Meyer
Nate’s journey into construction started with his service in the Navy Seabees, where he developed a strong foundation in building, process management, and teamwork. After earning a degree in construction management, he worked in project oversight, remodeling, and custom home construction, gaining valuable insights into managing complex projects. At Top Shelf Home Builders, Nate ensures that every project stays on schedule, on budget, and exceeds client expectations. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his daughter and family.
